m_to_the_c
Selling out doesn't exist anymore! You are saying you would rather have this band toil in impoverished obscurity than be able to make money from their music, to enable them to make more music. All to satisfy your definition of what a band is supposed to be. That's a pretty selfish way to approach a band. Moreoever, the individuals in the band. There are so few channels to actually make money if you are in a band, and touring is increasingly NOT one of them. Nor are CD sales. I don't know this band, but I am sure they are thrilled to not have you to impress anymore. (and you do realize that your "non-conformist hipster image" is still a brand of conformity, right?) moxiebean
Pilot was founded by two former members of the Bay City Rollers (one of whom died in 1989), and the band disbanded in 1978 - any talk of them selling out in 2007 is just dumb.
