cryptique
Man, I hate it when I get haseled.
caliber66
Certainly sounds like an overreaction on the consumer's part to me. That's an awful lot of hassle to go through simply to avoid reaching into your pocket and showing a piece of paper to some guy.

Atticus
How do you suggest I find a lawyer/firm that would take this case on a contingent fee? sorry, I shouldn't kid, but that's a good one.
anodyne
They do that at Sam's Club also - it does not seem to me that they look very closely.the wholesale clubs have you sign a membership agreement that allows them to check all receipts. regular stores can't do that. yermom
I've been to other non-club stores that check receipts on your way out. They tend to check you when you've got larger type purchases such as televisions or computers which I think is kind of funny because you'd have to be pretty confident to think you could walk in and pick up a tv then walk right out without stopping by the register first. YOU'RE FACILITATING THE POLICE STATE!!!!
