anodyne
my cat died earlier this year of kidney problems. it wasn't because of chinese poisonous food, but that food causes the same issues my cat had. it's a horrible, wasteful disease and is hard to watch a pet deteriorate and dehydrate from this. PLEASE be cautious, pet owners! we feed nutro dry food for our dogs (mixed with innova evo). these aren't chinese sourced.
Basil II
never will I shop Wal - Mart........ -Robert.
Mrs. Peel
Initially, the product code checks out as safe, but if the sticker is peeled off, there is another product code underneath. The original UPC code underneath the sticker matches the ones on the pet food recall list. That's a pretty devious scheme.
cryptique
Well, I doubt it's the actual recalled food that's being sold in the stickered packaging. It's probably a new batch, and they changed the UPC so people wouldn't be confused and think they were buying tainted food. That said, I think it would have made more sense to re-do their packaging altogether. Plus ... it's WalMart. Why would anyone shop there to begin with? There's a reason their prices are low: shitty quality.
Lammycat
90% of Americans shop at a Wal-Mart at least once/year.
EL the Famous
so, they don't know for sure it's the same food and not just the packaging...but they are reporting it's the same food anyhow. well done.
Analogman
I shop at Walmart all the time - as I have said before - where in the hell else are you going to get stuff? Target? K-Mart? They have the same shit - but at higher prices. Are family owned dept stores going to come back/open up downtown so I can buy stuff from them? I doubt it.
