Good Bars in Denver near the Fillmore?

I am travelling to Denver from Chicago to see the show and I was wondering if there are any good bars/pubs/microbrews near the fillmore to grab a beer b/4 the show?

There are tons of bars in walking distance to the Fillmore. Irish pubs, dive bars, hippy joints, etc. What kind of bars do you consider good?

more of a pub atmosphere and nothing really too crazy! Looking for some good local beer other than The Banquet Beer

The Wynkoop Brewery and Rock Bottom Brewery (both brew pubs) are both down town (short busride/longer walk to Fillmore) and there's an Irish pub up the street from the Fillmore http://www.irishsnug.com/

 

There's also The Red Room which has good beer on tap and good food that's a few blocks from the Fillmore, too. There are a lot of cheap dive bars in the neighborhood, too.

I like Gabor's on 13th St. Two blocks south of Colfax where the Filmore is located and a few blocks east up the hill. Very mellow, decent jukebox. If you like vegetarian cuisine there is a charming bar with veggie pizza and bar food at 13th and Grant called City O City. Fancy local beers, probably four or five blocks from the Fillmore.

Gabor's is a good call, too. Funky and laid back. Goosetown Tavern and Mezcal (right next to each other) are decent joints, too.
