So I bought AGIB on vinyl

Recommended Posts

just wondering if this is how all the AGIB records are..... its not horrible but Im considering buying another copy... its like when you fully open up the cover it bubbles out near the center of the cover.

its hurts my mint condition collectable soul

does it play all right?

if its just on the cardboard, ten you should hold on to it. most things cme from the factory like that.

remember you are now dealing with a medium that is not nearly as ubiqutious as it once was. somethings things lack a bit due to that.

Mine came with little scratches across the grooves like it had been shuffled across a tile floor or something.

It is still unplayed to this day, although I just scored a Pro-Ject One (w. a Grado cart) at an estate sale... It may come out soon.

I can't tell if you're saying the cover is bent, or the record itself. Of course, both do occur, especially in the tight plastic wrapped gatefold records usually sold in the US. Sadly, I've bought many new records only to find the edge of the vinyl itself bent due to pressure from the plastic wrapping. Sometimes I return them to the store, other times no.

My brand new SBS vinyl purchased as a preorder from Music Today had a bent cover (one corner, approx. 2 inches in size). I contacted Music Today and they sent me out a new one and paid to ship the damaged one back, so if you have a problem with vinyl purchased direct, by all means try them.
