Sir Stewart
What's even weirder is getting this message after clicking on one too many results pages:Google Error We're sorry... ... but your query looks similar to automated requests from a computer virus or spyware application. To protect our users, we can't process your request right now. We'll restore your access as quickly as possible, so try again soon. In the meantime, if you suspect that your computer or network has been infected, you might want to run a virus checker or spyware remover to make sure that your systems are free of viruses and other spurious software. We apologize for the inconvenience, and hope we'll see you again on Google.

Duck-Billed Catechist
So it seems that this software is a popular video hosting tool for municipalities, businesses, and webcammers. The software generates html files in a particular pattern--namely /view/index.shtml. Many users may not intend for the cams to be fully public, but aren't publicizing them and figure that no one will find them. Others do intend them to be public. Others don't care. Others don't know. Simple enough?

yermom
http://128.97.43.214/view/index.shtmlWhat are they making in this lab? Looks likes everyone is out to lunch right now. Edit: Never mind, it's the Basic Plasma Science Facility at UCLA. Now I just have to google around to see exactly what that is. Re-edit: The Basic Plasma Science Facility performs frontier-level research of the plasma state of matter. Usage of the facility is available to qualified scientists from national and international institutions, and industry. Research on the fundamental properties of plasmas aids our understanding of applications ranging from fusion energy to space science.Totally bookmarking this.
