For anyone that doesn't know The Dap-Kings they played on quite a few tracks on Amy Winehouse's Back To Black (most noteably 'Rehab') also backing her on her 2007 tour and also playing on the Mark Ronson album. Sharon's energy is totally amazing and she has a voice that's so strong and full of soul it gives me shivers. LOVE IT!!!! Let Them Knock is currently my favorite track, but the whole CD is great. I was going to put something in After the Show, but I realized that I didn't have anything more interesting to say than "WOW." I was smitten from the very first riff. It's very audience interactive (lots of dragging people on the stage to dance, some of whom were freakin' great dancers), and a wonderfully entertaining show. And as noted in this thread already, the music is just amazing -- Al Green and James Brown and Sly and the Family Stone all rolled together, only more modern plus she's a girl. Sharon does pure funk most of the time, whereas Amy is more of a stylist. Now Amy is obviously more sexy - while Sharon is a superior show-woman, with more energy and charisma.
