the_fliz1
When did Loose Fur start as a band? I remember hearing Laminated Cat for the first time while watching IATTBYH. Jeff does an acoustic version in it. I thought that IATTBYH was filmed way before Loose Fur united. I guess it could have been something that Jeff brought into the band. May of 2000, and though it wasn't released until 2003, their first album was recorded before Yankee Hotel Foxtrot. Loose Fur @ Wikipedia. pretty much cribbed from Greg Kot's book
WaronWar
And it's a fantastic record, and so is the second one. It is worth money to buy it.
Bubs101
Just download the Yankee Hotel Foxtrot demos from bt.etree. Amazing version of poor places on it too
aricandover
I think the version on the demos is pretty bad. I'm glad Tweedy decided to change it.

Bubs101
It was probably my favourite song before hand but now it's just unbeatable

wade
It was probably my favourite song before hand but now it's just unbeatablethe studio version of poor places is my all time favorite recording... ever. i can't stand the demo version though.
Gobias Industries
I kinda like the Engineer's Demos version the best...it's more noise-y. I can't stand the Demos version, and the YHF studio version is still good, but it doesn't beat the Engineer's Demos.
froggie
arent there only 2 versions? - the loose fur version and the more upbeat demos versions? either way (no pun intended), i love them both
