MattZ
Any idea who the fundraiser was for? Obama?
Edie
I bet it was Obama....given the Farm Aid thing a couple years ago.
Duck-Billed Catechist
A Democratic fundraiser wouldn't necessarily have to be for a specific candidate.
DAngerer09
so... is it mike and nels that don't live in Chicago?

suites
Did this happen......We need confirmation so that we can make sure the band history is accurate.
RaspberryJam
Yes, confirmation is important so that I can get on the Chicago Democratic Party fundraising committee.
jakobnicholas
Um, yeah, Democrats are gonna make a HUGE difference with all the world's problems. Democrats and Republicans are all the same. But if it makes Wilco FEEL better to support the party that doesn't have George Bush in it, I guess it's their perogative. Personally, I hope the money DOES help Obama. Lord knows Hillary and Bill don't need any help getting cash.
Tweedling
I go to all the Democratic fund raisers! How in the world did I miss this one!?
Reni
Personally, I hope the money DOES help Obama. Lord knows Hillary and Bill don't need any help getting cash. Actually Obama isn't having a real tough time raising money

Duck-Billed Catechist
I think he was kidding about the first-name basis part. It's also very possible that he did sing happy birthday to Jeff--depending on how much absinthe and champagne he'd had.
aricandover
he's still a dope
