Lammycat
For "regular" shows, yes it is nice to be able to give tickets to friends / sell to strangers for face if you can't make it. But for a special run like this, to prevent scalping, it really is the only way. If they put that system in place, and you're pretty sure you're can make the show(s), you buy tickets. If there is major doubt, don't buy in the first place. If you suddenly find out you can go last minute, well hopefully someone has an extra to bring you inside with them.I don't get the distinction between a "regular" show and a "special run" show. Scalpers have an edge regardless. Plus, even if I have doubt about being able to attend a show, I may purchase a ticket anyway with the off-chance I am able to attend. If I choose to. I just don't think a Will Call-only system is the best manner to get around the scalper issue, regardless of a single show or a series of shows at one venue.
caliber66
The person that bought the tickets is the only one that needs to show an i.d.And what if the person who purchased the tickets breaks his leg the day of the show?
ZenLunatic
I just don't think a Will Call-only system is the best manner to get around the scalper issue, regardless of a single show or a series of shows at one venue. Its just one option that I feel is better than current. It has its disadvantages because of last minute change of plans, but its advantages outweigh that.
thagle
Evil Horn if you go to NO instead of Chicago I'd be more than happy to take those tickets off your hands As far as scalpers go, I just checked out e-bay and people arent bidding much at all on the Chicago shows. Most auctions are ending without people offering up the 90 dollar a night opening bid.
