allgodsmoney
I was one of the first people in line at the residency this past week. I brought my guitar down to Chicago in anticipation that I would run into some playahs...but alas I found none who could jam. I think we need to coordinat some WILCO fan jam/singalong/openstage...something What do you think? or has this already been tried ANALOGMAN?

a.miller
I'm always up for some Wilco-related jamming with anyone in the Los Angeles/ Orange County area.I just relocated to Hollywood. I live right up from the Knitting Factory, just a stone's throw from Hollywood Blvd. I'd like to find some open mic places around here to dust off my live chops. Suggestions?? I don't really know of any open mics in Hollywood (though I'm sure there are places). I think Molly Malone's on Fairfax and 6th has an open mic on Monday nights:http://www.myspace.com/mollymalonesmusicThat's in my backyard, so let me know if you plan to do one of these and there's an at least 30% chance I'll make it out. The Kibitz Room in Canter's Deli on Fairfax (also in my backyard) has an open mic on Sunday nights:http://www.cantersdeli.com/kibitzroom/ The Dresden Room on Vermont in Los Feliz (not in my backyard, but Los feliz is rad) has an open mic on Tuesdays:http://losangeles.citysearch.com/profile/1...ch_name_noncust El Cid on Sunset in Los Feliz (or maybe it's Silverlake, which is similarly rad) has an open mike on Tuesdays, too (though not every Tuesday): http://www.elcidla.com/openmic.html Other than that, I know there are some open mics in Santa Monica, though I don't know where. So, I might show up to one of these once I get a little mores settled.
Golden Smoghead
Sorry if this sounds obvious or insulting or something, but I really have used the hell out of openmikes, they have a search widget where you input your zip code and a radius you are interested in... Best part is definitely the posts / reviews. Occasionally I disagree with the other people, but by and large you can get a sense for what a particular open mic is like.
