He showed promise with the Tigers and I read that he's been tearing up Spring Training. I also took a chance picking up Backe, who's coming off surgery that kept him out for most of 2007, but he looked good in his few late-season starts last year. My bench players are stiffs, mostly. There will be turnover.

I put way less time in preparing for this draft as for the other one. I made some small boners but I think it could turn out okay if some of the young guys develop quickly. Biggest problem was that I started focusing on pitching too early and didn't realize until very late that I didn't even have my outfield completed yet. In this league we have five keepers. Mine were Cabrera, Webb, Sizemore, Beltran and Pena.
cryptique
Maybin might not start with the team, though. If he doesn't, he'll be up soon. I'll probably hold onto him regardless. Funny, the depth chart on the Marlins' official site had him listed as the first-string center fielder on Monday (when our league drafted). Now he's listed as third. MrRain422
Someone rate my draft.
bobbob1313
That second team looks like the better one, but that's not really a good analysis, since it's a smaller league. Either way, an offensive core of Pena, Sizemore, Cabrera, Thome, and Beltran is sick. That looks like a really strong team, but anything can happen in a 9x9.

Yeah, somehow I won the regular season (lost the first round of the playoffs) in that 9x9 league last year, but I still have no idea what the hell I'm doing. It all feels like blind luck. There's just too many categories to try to balance. Joe Mauer(Min - C)Travis Hafner(Cle - 1B)Rickie Weeks(Mil - 2B)
benjamin
How many teams are in this league? This team looks pretty strong if it's a deep league. 10 teams total. Head to head with 10 categories. I have never won a fantasy baseball league. This could be my year.
