OMG! I love Tim Rogers! And he loves Fort Wayne.

J.K. O'Donnell's is a new Irish pub/restauraunt downtown. Check out the website, too - so cute IMO - mostly because it depicts the downtown Fort Wayne skyline as having mountains in the background. :lol

... and that video of Tim walking along city streets singing his song? :worship

Funny because he is quite a walker. When he was here in Fort Wayne a year or maybe two ago, he wanted to visit a certain vintage clothing store and record store, and they were a couple of miles away, but he wanted to walk. And walk it he did -- and it was sort of cold weather, not horrible, but not really great. He told Matt Kelley* that he found a really cool old suit at the vintage store but it was out of his price range which he had promised to himself he would not exceed on that trip to the US. So Matt arranged secretly for people to go together and purchase it for him, and he sent it to him along with other mementos to Australia where Tim lives, of course. So there's a pretty great mutual admiration society going on with him & Matt Kelley, probably the real reason Tim Rogers is coming back to Fort Wayne.

Great song...I don't think I've ever heard of him. For a second I thought "road trip to Ft. Wayne" and quickly realized it's on a Monday night. :hmm

In Oz, he's a rock-star, responsible for a couple of the best Aussie (scratch that, anywhere in the world) records of all time. Here, he plays Monday nights in Ft Wayne to 25 people, yet he is literally Paul Westerberg, Ray Davies, and Ronnie Lane all wrapped into one substance abusing enigma.

:lol No doubt there'll be meet and greet and heavy drinking after the show. :cheers

There sure was last time. He made thisyearsgirl & I take shots of tequila, and we don't typically drink. :pirate

I'd never heard You Am I until Donna sent me some stuff. I was mightily impressed.

Thanks again Donna! :cheekkiss

I love Tim Rogers. I love You Am I. My finally-21 son Tom is positively ecstatic because he's finally going to get to see them live, and on the teeny, low Spaceland stage, at that. August 7th gleams like a happy beacon. :w00t

PS - I might add....and look, I have! :stunned .....that Tim is a very excellent hugger, even when, according to his setlist autograph, he is "inconsolably drunk". :lol Truly, one of my favorite live performers (jaw-droppingly amazing, go see for yourself) as well as being one of the sweetest guys I've ever met.

"Tim Rogers of You Am I had to cancel his tour due to visa problems."

Not sure where Donna got this information, but I echo the 'FUCK!!!!!!' that accompanied her comment.

That info came from the TicketWeb site I had bought my tickets through. :ohwell
