amoliere
I love this song so much and was just wondering who wrote this. Does anybody know where I can download this song? I just saw them in concert not too long ago and they were amazing. I was fortunate enough to meet them after the show and was just so impressed by the way they handled themselves. They are sooooo nice!

mpolak21
The song was written by Jeff Tweedy and Jay Bennett. Jay released his version of it on Bigger Than Blue (I think it's vastly inferior to the Wilco version), it was released as a free B-side on the Wilco site in 2003. Sam Jones filmed them working through the song for the YHF sessions which made it to the second disc of the I am Trying To Break Your Heart DVD release, it can also be seen here: . --Mike
caliber66
I love the Bennett version, but I think he tried to do a little too much with it.
Halsey12
I love the Bennett version, but I think he tried to do a little too much with it. I don't think Jay "tries" to do too much... I think he just "does" too much.

mpolak21
I love the Bennett version, but I think he tried to do a little too much with it. He did, actually I think the best version of that song might be just the Jeff and Jay demo with Tweedy on vocals and Jay playing piano. I like Palace at 4 A.M. a lot, but the rest of Jay's solo stuff has been kind of hit or miss with me. I do miss his songwriting contributions to the Wilcos though, particularly when Jesus, etc. cues up on my ipod. --Mike
