LouieB
I have Wild Man Fischer on a rather beat up but playable LP. I doubt it is anywhere on CD. the question is whether or not it is still worth playing. I have not listened to it in years. LouieB

thecanuck
How about John Phillips of the Mamas & the Papas. He released a great solo record, John the Wolfking of L.A. in 1970 before dissapearing under increasing drug use.

John Smith
Anyone bring up Andy Partridge?
PopTodd
Anyone bring up Andy Partridge? I don't know that he's damaged or shut-in... just won't play live shows due to anxiety. He still does radio interviews and, as far as I know, is still a functioning member of society. LSD is not good for folks with pre existing psych conditions.I've seen him live, once. Honestly, I was disappointed. He was the headliner, sang about 5 or 6 songs and chug-a-lugged two 6-packs of Coca-Cola over a period of 20 minutes, and then left the stage and didn't return.I guess, as with a lot of sensitive personalities, he is wildly inconsistent. Sometimes he'll play for a couple of hours and be brilliant. Guess I just caught him on a bad night. (It was also the first time that he ever played Chicago.)
