mountain bed
Mende, I hope like hell this happens for you. You MUST go, my friend. No kidding, I saw about a dozen shows last year and the Nels show was my favorite show of the year. My mind was so blown!

Three dollars and 63 cents
It's true! bböp
Froggie (and anybody else fortunate enough to be in Melbourne), you should definitely check out one of those shows with Nels Cline/Tim Berne/Jim Black trio. That's a great band that doesn't get to play together often, if ever. Berne and Black are both New York-based, and I especially dig Black's percussion. Something to see, for sure. Three dollars and 63 cents
Nels is going to be playing a date at the Stone in New York not long after he gets back from Australia. May 10, I think? I'll let everyone know when I find out for sure. There's also a chance he may be playing a solo show in the New York area right around the time of those dates in April at the Blue Note with Jenny Scheinman. No sign of any east coast Singers dates this spring, though, which I'm bummed out about. I'm definitely looking forward to their new album, though!
froggie
seems like Nels likes Melbourne quite a bit! the 1st of May seems weird with 2 slots in the same place on the same day. the Laugh clowns are meant to headline that night
