Sweet Papa Crimbo
In honor of my anniversary with this board, I am reviving a WILD MERCURY SOUND post. Let's play!!! Ok, my friends band Dragonflies Draw Flame have a section on their site where people can post their Top 12 albums, the rules being thus: "Firstly rather than picking 12 albums in order of howgreat they are, you have to pick 6 upper albums and6 lower albums. The sub-groups themselves do not havean order but the upper 6 are better than the lower. Also, no sub-group can contain 2 albums by the same bandthis can lead to what scientists call the "communistphenomenon" where an album in the bottom six is betterthan much of the top six." Eyes down! 1] Wilco - Yankee Hotel Foxtrot2] Miles Davis - Kind of Blue3] Ben Folds Five - Whatever and Ever Amen4] Elliott Smith - XO5] Bob Dylan - Blood on the Tracks6] Tom Waits - Closing Time 7] Josh Rouse - Under Cold Blue Stars8] Calexico - Feast on Wire9] DJ Shadow - Endtroducing10] Various - Royal Tenenbaums OST11] Wilco - A Ghost is Born12] Bob Dylan - Blonde on Blonde His list My list1) Wilco --- Yankee Hotel Foxtrot2) Bruce Springsteen --- Born to Run3) Elvis Costello --- This Year's Model4) Bob Dylan --- Blood on the Tracks5) Drive by Truckers --- Decoration Day6) Radiohead --- The Bends 7) The Beatles --- Revolver8) Jimi Hendrix --- Electric Ladyland9) U2 --- Achtung Baby10)The Band --- The Band11)Wilco --- A Ghost is Born12) Bruce Springstee --- The Wild, The Innocent, the E Street Shuffle

jff
Either I'm misunderstanding this thread, or someone thinks Born to Run is better than Electric Ladyland.
