trayanastasio
i'm thinking of flying out from new york city to at least catch the sunday show, but fear that i might just end up getting the same set i more or less got throughout the summer. i'm not whining, believe me. i've just been on a wilco binge these past two years and would be very pleased to see some variety. if it's just gonna be "that" set, with a few requests mixed in, then it may not be worth the voyage as much the residency dates were. sorry if this has been previously discussed. Guest Jules
Maybe not, but it should be fun. Don't forget it's a larger venue than they usually play. If that matters to you.
W(TF)
My sense from the residency shows, KT, and bootlegs is that they do step it up a few notches for the home crowd. But others with more experience may have a different viewpoint. Seeing the band in Chicago is definitely on my wish list...
indy81
The different band members have been off doing their own thing during this break, so they probably haven't spent a lot of time rehearsing weird stuff. If you're expecting a residency-type thing, you will likely be disappointed. Should be good shows, though, and they usually play at least a couple rarities each night anyway. Edie
Some of the best Wilco shows I have seen have been in Chicago (Residency x 5, Vic 2005) Some of the worst Wilco shows I have seen have been in Chicago (Katrina benefit 2005, Pritzker Pavillion 2007)
imsjry
it may not be worth the voyage as much the residency dates were. Nothing will ever top those residency shows. I'm actually surprised they did them for that reason. Were those video or multitrack recorded?
jff
If nothing else, the chances of Spencer sitting in are probably a lot better in Chicago than any other city.

drop dead ed
Just looking at those setlists is kinda a bummer. Looks like a bunch of singles to me. I'm going to the DALLAS show and I'm sure it's going to look like that. I wish they'd touch the older material for Texas shows and finish with AGIB rock, however we don't live in a perfect world now do we. It's funny because when I'm there in person, it doesn't matter what they play, just as long as I get to see them do what they do best, JAM! I want to seeeeeeeeeeeeee the JAM session in between songs...hmmm
