ocean_man
I am new to this site, and am also fairly new to the band. Ive seen them at a couple festivals and have listened to their music a lot, but haven't been to a show elsewhere. Im trying to track down some tickets for the Fox show in Atlanta in four weeks. My question is, what is the ticket situation like for Wilco shows like this? Will fans on here or elsewhere be giving up tickets for face closer to the date? Im thinking about pulling the trigger on ebay or stubhub, but I almost want to wait it out. I go to a lot of Phish, Widespread, etc. type shows and their are usually extras to be had and nice fans willing to give tix up for face. anyone care to share some insight into what will likely be the situation for the Fox show? Shakespeare In The Alley
I'd say check Craigslist closer to the show date. I've gotten face value or cheaper tickets by doing that. Don't go the ebay route yet. If they're still available closer to the show, they'll be cheaper.
Doug C
Welcome, If you are considering StubHub and the like, I'd wait. There seem to be lots of tickets on those sites at insane prices. Wait and see if they drop. As far as tickets in How To Fight Loneliness, it's tough to say. They show or they don't. I have never bought there so, I don't have direct experience checking for tickets. I have sold several extras there over the years and have always posted them as soon as I had better seats. In retrospect, it doesn't sound like i have been much help. Best of luck. I'd refresh at least every half hour. Got two tickets at face value.
ocean_man
Thats what Im thinking. The problem I see is that most tickets out there for sale seem to be in the hands of scalpers. With Wilco having more fans in the North, there are probably more fans going for those shows during the presale, whereas this southern show probably has more ticketmaster sales going to scalpers. There seem to be about 1000 tickets, or %20 capacity for the venue floating around. Ive yet to see even one set offered for face. sorry for the rant.
SarahC
Totally agree, O-man. I bit the stubhub bullet out of fear, and now wish I hadn't.
