Dondante
i just got tickets for the show in scranton last week for $24 on stubsearch.com. they've now dropped to $17 on stubhub. since the show is sold out, this is confusing me. anyone know if there is a logical reason for this? is the venue terrible or what? i know it's middle of nowhere pennsylvania on a wednesday night, but it is wilco... Shakespeare In The Alley
I'd guess it's because the show is coming up, and the folks (or whatever profanity you like) on secondary ticket sites are trying to sell as many tickets as possible.

Three dollars and 63 cents
Scranton is really too small of a market for Wilco. Scalpers probably snatched up tickets and completely overestimated demand. Even though it's sold out, I don't expect it to be full, or else there will be a lot of tickets below face value on craigslist and StubHub in the next few weeks. I have to teach until 5 and have a two-hour drive, so I'm going to be getting there much closer to the time doors open than I'd like.

The venue in scranton is actually really cool with a lot of history...it used to be called the masonic temple...the name scranton cultural center makes it sound like they are playing at a ymca but in reality it is a really neat place I'd highly recommend to anybody looking to see them and not pay the absurdly high ticket prices for the philly show, which is at an awful venue, to def snag some cheap tiks off stubhub for the scranton show while they last. You can pretty much get like 3 or 4 tickets for the price of one and see them at a cool place. its worth the drive...its wilco.
