choo-choo-charlie
Cool photo. OK writing. Cheers for giving Wilco a thumbs-up for their great work this year.
Autumnteeth
Great review. It seems like as time goes on the album gains more traction. I still don'tget Bon Iver though. I can listen to a song now and then, but Bon Iver in their totality just doesn't make it for me. Music is a to each its own thing, and am glad they are held in hig hesteem, it seems they work hard at what they do and that more than anything makes me want to like them, I just don't. i j

Sorry, I sound like I am sixty and bitching about some clown named Pink Floyd or Jethro Tull. I do like the Black Keys though. I like the year end lists, they turn me on to bands I missed, or albums I heard one track from that I didn't like then it turns out I was wrong. Bon Iver goes in the Mumford and Sons pile for me. Judge not, however, lest Wilco be judged.
worldrecordplayer
Overall, good review of the live show. Very apt description of what it's like to experience Wilco live. Except, and it's a big except: the band are merely supporting actors in The Jeff Tweedy Show??? I can't go along with that concept. And I'm as big a Tweedy as the next person here (I frequently refer to my man crush on Tweedy when describing how important a songwriter and overall addition to the universe he is). I never really put it down to this...but thinking about it... it is Jeff's show. There is collaboration, there are immensely important contributions...but after all is said and done, it is Jeff's vision.
