worldrecordplayer
In the first of what I've seen for a U.S. Wilco spring/summer date, it's been announced that Wilco will be at Hangout Music Festival. The dates are May 18-20, though don't know what day Wilco is booked for. Never been, but always looks like a nice festival right on the beach. http://lineup.hangoutmusicfest.com/
nalafej
Looks like Jack White plays 5/18 & DMB 5/20. I'm assuming that leaves SCI for 5/19. Would make the most sense for Wilco to be on stage just prior to Jack out of those three and they do seem to be the #4 band on the bill. Right? I haven't heard much about this festival. Is it any good?
worldrecordplayer
I've never been (this will be its 3rd year), but have heard good things. It's right on the beach, how bad could that be?!
Magnetized
Ooh, this sounds really good. In addition to Wilco and Jack Black, there's Mavis Staples, Flaming Lips, Randy Newman, Dr. Dog, Gogol Bordello, and M. Ward. And those are just the ones I'd be excited to see. Depends how easily you get a sunburn, but I guess you could say that about most of these big festivals.

The Inside of Outside
I've been thinking there might be a southeast swing this spring for Wilco. Wonder if they will do a three week swing through there in May. With the 2 and 1/2 to 3 weeks on tour followed by about the same time off the road that they have favored recently, that could mean an early April jaunt somewhere, followed by a mid-May SE US stretch. But then there are the festival dates in late May/early June overseas that might suggest otherwise. With a return to MassMOCA sometime this summer for a small benefit show still to be scheduled, I am very, very hopeful for a NE leg come July or so. One can hope. Back to the thread topic - I think this festival looks like a winner, and I am not a huge fan of the big festivals. Jack White, DMB, Flaming Lips, Mavis, Chris Cornell, Michael Franti, Dawes - looks good.
nalafej
Red Hot Chili Peppers added to this festival today.
