Slightly off-topic...what is your favourite version of "She's A Jar"?

I really like the post-Jay/pre-Pat&Nels arrangement. The 2001-10-05 Majestic Theatre version is gorgeous.

That arrangement is hit-and-miss for me. Sometimes I enjoy hearing it stripped down to more simple instrumentation, but I don't like it as much when Tweedy sings it in the higher register. To answer the question, my favorite version is the one heard on Summerteeth. I'll never forget first hearing it; the simple-but-sweet harmonica part sold me on Wilco.

For me, it's Jeff solo with the harmonica on 3/26/98. Much faster than the official version, yet does not sound rushed. Sung in the lower register, but not drowned by instrumentation.

I feel the same way about Ashes of American Flags. Great versions on the solo shows from 10/99.

Yeah, fair enough. How about the 2003-10-25 Bridge School version? Lower register. It's a nice one, too.

Anything with Leroy doing the Piano fills is fine by me, but I like Jay's mellotron part a lot on the studio version too.
