Recommended Posts

I posted in the "Wilco (officially released live shows)" thread as well, but figured that the word would just get out faster this way...sooooooo...

Extra! Extra!! Roadcase Shows #7 & #8 are now available!! They haven't yet dipped into the past files...so we are still getting 2012 shows...for me this especially happily includes what is now the 5th Roadcase show that I saw (all three NYC shows, Cooperstown & Rochester) with the GREAT 8/3/12 Rochester, NY show...it also gives me a chance to check out one of the few east coast gigs I missed on this swing with the tantalizing 7/29/12 Essex Junction, VT gig.

...if you've been thinking about getting something from the store for awhile...including other Roadcase gigs, etc. ...

you get a free mp3 (not the loseless ALAC, or loseless FLAC) of the Rochester show with a $40 order...

and/or...for a $60 order you get the mp3 of Rochester & 10% off the whole order...

Also take note that....the team Wilco "W" baseball hats are now available in a veritable psychedelic rainbow assortment of colors (crimson, blue, red & black with white "W"...green with gold "W"...& black with orange "W")...

Hmmm, which one, or both? I seem to recall people raving about the VT show at the time.

I wasn't at Vermont (& I'm just about to finally get to listen to the show that I downloaded earlier, right now in fact as I just got back home- already checked Rochester out & it's a great as I remember it being), but I can tell you that I not only thought Rochester was a fantastic gig (performance & sound fidelity wise), & so did the many faithful...but...there were a number of first timers at that show who came away slack jawed & trout mouthed, as they say...

Interesting that the shows that I thought had the best sound overall, Hartford, CT & then the best outdoor show sound, Columbus, OH,- neither of them have gotten released...I have to say that the only show that was slightly lesser for me was Camden, NJ- in part because it was a truncated "festival length" set list, & also because it was the poorest venue, in every sense, of all the places that I saw them...they were still spot on great though, just not as incredible as the other shows...

  • 2 weeks later...

I'm seriously hoping for a Bushnell release as well as I was not in the best of conditions at the Hartford show, having broken my foot and my big toe in 5 places (and 5 stitches to close up where the nail was driven down to the bone). I got out of the Yale ER in just enought time get there for the last couple of songs by Lee Renaldo, hobbling around on a bloody gauze-wrapped foot and crutches. The show was great, but I was not in the best state for fully appreciating it. I was at the VT show, too, which was a blast with some friends and my 2 daughters, one of whom was a first-timer, but the Bushnell was a better show.
