bböp
Hadn't seen anything about this, so figured I'd post a link (just noticed it's a mobile link so hopefully it works on regular computers, but if not, I'm sure you can find the story on The Hollywood Reporter site)... http://m.hollywoodreporter.com/news/wilco-this-40-judd-apatow-383991

choo-choo-charlie
Love that version. There's also a terrific recording of Jeff & Jay performing "I Got You" with the same feel, but the tempo is faster -- more bluegrass than country. 7-25-1999, I believe.
Analogman
That is from The Wedge - MuchMusic - a Canadian music video channel. The Wedge is the title of an hour-long, weekly indie music program airing Fridays at midnight ET on Canadian music TV station MuchMusic. The program, which debuted in 1992 as a Monday to Friday half-hour series, was originally hosted by Simon Evans. In 1995, Sook-Yin Lee became the host, and remained with the program until her departure from MuchMusic in 2001. Maybe it was around the time of this show: 1996-11-20. The video is on Mr. Hamm's dvd - Wilco - DVD Project Vol 28.
