Thanks for putting a smile on my face with the sound effect, on what is for me a sad occasion.

 

Duke was such an integral part of the FZ sound throughout what I consider to be his most classic period. I'll be bummed when Ponty and all those other folks go too, but Duke was among the most essential.

 

Edit: I just looked on Wikipedia, and it's amazing how many classic FZ albums featured George: Chunga's, 200 Motels, Waka/Jawaka, Grand Wazoo, Over-Nite Sensation, Apostrophe, Roxy, OSFA, Bongo Fury...pretty much all my favorite FZ albums. I also have a ton of live shows, and Duke's improv sections at the beginning of Dupree's Paradise were always something special. Guy was great.
