awatt
Something I wrote after the SB show.... Is it just me or do others have religious experiences at Tweedy/Wilco shows?
worldrecordplayer
Definitely. You are not alone. I wouldn't limit to Wilco/Tweedy shows, I've had a number of true religious/spiritual experience over the many years (decades) of concert going. Keeps me going back. A religious experience without the religion, it's the best.

IRememberDBoon
better than any "religious" experience ive ever had
Passenger Sid
I like my weekly religious experience at mass each weekend. I wouldn't compare it to a concert. I enjoyed seeing Mr. Tweedy, one my favorite music artists, using only a guitar and his voice to take me away for a couple hours. I'd compare it more to sitting through a really good movie. uncool2pillow
I really enjoy Wilco live, but I don't reach the same level of fervor I've reached at other shows. Maybe during Via Chicago. Bob Mould and Richard Thompson solo acoustic have taken me to heights of religious ecstasy numerous times.
Atticus
Music often restores me to sanity or helps root me in the present, both of which I consider spiritual experiences.
