howardox
One of the best début albums I've heard in a while is from this Canadian band. Saw them last night in Montreal. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WGRhaFx1Zpw
GtrPlyr
I've been listening to this one quite a bit over the past month. Definitely on my list of favorites for the year so far.
Boss_Tweedy
I just heard "Marry Me, Archie" on satellite radio and am looking forward to listening to the whole album. Definitely a great summer sound.
bjorn_skurj
Yeah that is a good song that I also heard on the sat-rad, along with an introductory rant about the band's name from Newman of the New Pornographers.
Passenger Sid
Bought this a couple weeks ago. GREAT record. Can't stop listening. Has a jangly sound that reminds me of early R.E.M. The female singer's voice is pretty amazing. I'm married, but listening to "Marry Me Archie" almost makes me wish I was Archie. There's nothing I want to skip over. It's 33 minutes of indie pop/rock bliss.

Boss_Tweedy
I'm going to see them Wednesday night & am looking forward to it. That record still hasn't gotten old for me.
Artifice
Great record - the Studio Q performance of Archie is interesting because it sounds much different than the record. Personally, I think the record's production was too heavy - whoever did it was trying too hard to make them sound like Best Coast (east coast / west coast indie girl pop war?). I like the live performance better. And I am a sucker for catchy four chord pop songs (where have you gone Evan Dando?). Maybe it's because I am a crap guitarist. Archie is incessantly fun to play. Maybe one day I'll try to learn the lead.
Passenger Sid
New record, 'Antisocialites', still streaming on NPR. Released Friday, so I doubt it's streaming much longer. Really liking it.

Same here. Nice album for the last days of summer. Their first album was great, too.
