Mr. Heartbreak
Jeff entered the Sukierae recording sessions with approximately 90 snippets at his disposal. He ended up recording 40 songs, half of which made the final cut for the double album.I did not know this. So we will be clamoring for the Sukierae demos someday, just like we did with YHF? I mean, honestly, I would rather hear Jeff's castoffs than just about anything else being released these days.
Albert Tatlock
http://consequenceofsound.net/2014/09/album-review-tweedy-sukierae/ The same sites album review.
Magnetized
I finally got my hands on a copy of Magnet magazine today with Jeff and Spencer on the cover, and all I can say is everyone who's a fan should seek it out. It's a 8-page article, with pictures interspersed, and it doesn't wallow in mawkish sentimentality. Definitely a good read! In my Podunk town there were no music stores that carried the magazine, but I finally found it in a Barnes and Noble and it was well worth the wait. Now I'm in full-on obsessive mode, reading the article and listening to the stream. I won't get to see Tweedy again until Hardly Strictly Bluegrass in early October, but my admiration and excitement are brimming over.
