Albert Tatlock
Jay betrayed me. It was sadWilco frontman to celebrate 20 years of triumph over adversity EXCLUSIVEBy SIMON COSYNSLast Updated: 05th December 2014 MEET Jeffrey Scot ‘Jeff’ Tweedy, the man behind America’s most intriguing band of the past 20 years, Wilco Join Sun+ now FOR FREE to read our exclusive interview... http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/showbiz/6152972/Wilco-frontman-Jeff-Tweedy-talks-celebrating-20-years-of-music.html Very surprised to see this this morning ( a ) because of the nature of the headline and ( b ) because it's in the lowest common denominator populist Sun of all places where the readership are not likely to recognise JT/Wilco. I have no intention to sign up to the Sun online site to read it ( a ) because it's owned by Murdoch ( b ) I can do without the resulting flood of junk email. But it's very intriguing. I just wonder if they've sensationalised whatever might have been said in the interview. For non-Brits, here's a selection of the Sun's distinctive 'journalism' below. May try to sneak a peek at a paper copy to see if the interview is there - probably less likely given the expected readership.
Londonist
I'm intrigued too! I hope someone signs up and let's us know what it says
Albert Tatlock
So, there is actually a one and a half page spread in the paper copy of The Sun today. Can't tell you how weird that seems - Wilco meets White Van Man. Bosh! Don't get too big headed JT - tomorrows fish and chip paper remember, and a lot of people won't get past page 3 anyway :-) Interview done whilst at The Palladium, publication delayed to coincide with the rarities and best of release. It was a pretty reasonable piece with a few nice asides from JT. I think that an editor homed in on the only possible bit of contention and wrote the headline to spice things up a bit, which is a shame - about two lines from the whole thing and the headline makes it look like this is some vitriolic 'shag and tell' denouncement. Attached for you reading pleasure. That's 40p you owe me you bastards, and I've had to compromise my stance on Murdoch
theashtraysays
40p is ironically "sixty three cents" in the US at todays FX rate. The lifetime of shame is the same in any currency. I'm sure you've done (or shall do) worse. But thanks for posting this.

thinmyheart
M.Q.K., you are "ace" for posting this. And kudos for only posting the front page. I grew up in England and have had a few conversations with US friends who refuse to believe that "Page 3" really exists.
rwilson580
Good article. The writer is clearly an actual fan of the band. The last line was brutal, but otherwise I enjoyed it.
Pennyghael
Glad the band have some exposure in a UK daily but disgusted it's The S*n.
