As fun a time as I've had at a Wilco show in a long time, & I've been to tons. Great job, Philly, you could tell they were just feeding off the energy from the front. 4th row, aisle, Nels side, Hell side, my ears are still ringing!!!!

PS~ john's I'm a wheel kick was epic!!!!!!!

We thought a very strong performance and seemed very happy to be playing in Philly again. Not sure why so long and at one point Jeff said hey you have to invite us back. The Mann Center has great sound and a pretty low stage so great viewing and sound. Not really much talking from Jeff during 2-1/2 hour set other than noting the birthday and talking a bit about being back in Philly. He did gush about Richard Thompson and called him his best friend and during his set he noted that Jeff had produced his last album. Richard played a well received set and was strong on guitar work during California Stars. At one point Jeff asked a guy in the row in front of us if he was using night vision goggles and the guy said no, but they sure looked like night vision goggles perhaps with some sort of camera built in. They were selling the red Make Wilco Great Again hats with all proceeds donated to immigration causes.

Dunno the story here, but I remember well a case many years ago where the NY Mets TV announcers made fun of some guy for wearing what sounds like a similar contraption. Turned out the fellow had serious vision problems and the contraption was a medical device, as regular glasses just didn't do it for him.

I agree it was the best Wilco show I've seen In ages, Solid Sounds excluded. It seemed like they really responded to the enthusiastic crowd, Awesome set list. Surprised they didn't play star wars straight through, and loved hearing those songs live. Amazing show!

The Wilco baseball card (issued by the Mann, not the band) was a nice little treat, too.

I didn't get one coming in the back gate :(

The Mann's been doing that for a few years, I've got Nick Cave, Sigur Ros, & Vampire Weekend cards.

The sound was amazing.  I was three rows behind the Pit on Nels' side and could clearly hear Pat's maracas in the mix with everybody else playing.  RT's guitar during California Stars may have been the only thing partially lost to the mix.

Hey guys - first time visitor here. Show at the Mann was fantastic; I was only into Wilco a little in the past, but a friend convinced me to go. Glad I did because I became even a bigger fan of their work! Will definitely be checking out some of their back catalog that I passed on.

Also - any recommendations for where I can get a poster from the show? I unfortunately had to catch a cab right after the set, and failed to pick one up at the Merch table. Any help/leads would be greatly appreciated!

Me last week: this whole "play the entire Star Wars album" is getting a little old

Me this week: they're not playing "You Satellite," "Taste the Ceiling," and "Magnetized"?!

Yeah, I was pretty ticked they didn't play those three songs, considering I like them much more than "The Joke Explained", and "Pickled Ginger", and looking at the previous show's set list, I predicted every song except Michael's requests and the encore.
