I'm living in an apartment now so just some house plants. But being that this is one of my favorite songs and your pic is so damn funny I had to comment. Thyme is definitely on your side!

Mostly overplanted basil... which will lead to an oversupply of pesto... which is just fine with me.

Left for a week and came back to my tomatoes really taking off -- thanks to my dad watering them...Besides that, a few peppers. Not much this year.

I always overplant basil, and forget how much it loves the summer heat! I think I've still got pesto frozen from last year. But yes, I've again planted 4 big basil plants. You've got to love a plant with such enthusiasm!

My peppers and tomatoes are already beginning to get the upper hand. Can't eat them fast enough. I foresee frozen diced peppers and tomato sauces. What a good dad you've got, Calvino, for keeping them watered. It's all these little things dads do that call for us celebrating them today, and everyday. I raise a tomato to your pop!

 

Tweedling, thyme may be a little less on my side after the way I've just hacked it back. That patch was nearly killing the little ginkgo tree it was meant to assist (by shading the roots & keeping the soil moist). Instead I think it was taking all the moisture and soil nutrients for itself.
