PopTodd
They're a band from New Orleans that plays an interesting combination of alt-country and 60's soul (though that part of their sound is more subtle). I discovered them at a tiny club at a late-night show after Jazz Fest a few years ago. They were better to me than any act I'd seen at Jazz Fest that year. How these guys came from New Orleans with this sound is mind-boggling...in a good way. I can't remember, but I think they covered an Otis Redding or Marvin Gaye that night and made work. That sounds really damn cool. I think I'm gonna check it out.On to my Spotify it goes!

PopTodd
A playlist of every single song that I could find from this wonderful sister group from the 60s. Here is one of the songs on that playlist, just for a little sample. If you like it, drop me a PM.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UY29MmNUswE
PopTodd
Chez: Did you go see Mountain Goats at the Empty Bottle the other day?
Chez
PT: Unfortunately, no. Show sold out before I could pull the trigger. I've got tickets to see them at the Riv when they return in November. Instead, I went to the American Music Festival at Fitzgeralds and had a blast.
