ViaNewOrleans
Just release the bands for Jazzfest but not the cubes showing days or times. Pretty unexpected and I'm pumped.
Boss_Tweedy
Eh. I was excited at first till I saw that they're scheduled for the same day as Dave Matthews. I can't stand Dave Matthews, and there will be a zillion people there.
downisthenewup
Bring on some surrounding dates!
worldrecordplayer
Damn, not going this year as I have a wedding in CA later in May. And double damn, they're playing second weekend which is when we always go. I don't think having Dave and Tim on the same day is much of an issue re: crowd size etc. Wouldn't stop me from going. bböp
This might've been expected given that Nels already had a show booked with Medeski, Martin and Wood in town the night before (May 4), but then again Glenn is scheduled to be in Madison, WI on May 6 for a show with Third Coast Percussion that's been on the books since last July, so who knows? I guess it wouldn't be the first time Glenn has flown in and out from a tour for one random gig...

ViaNewOrleans
Same day different stage (Friday May 5th). Could be a good thing......
ViaNewOrleans
Been raining here for the past two days non-stop. Field is going to be muddy as hell but should be sunny and not too hot for tomorrow's set at Jazzfest.
worldrecordplayer
I'm aggravated as heck I'm not there. Hope you're having a blast, I'm sure you must.
Boss_Tweedy
I can't believe it but I'm actually sitting this out. And I'm in New Orleans. I think I may have Wilco burnout, and Jazz Fest left me with a bad taste in my mouth a couple of year ago due to the unsafe size of the crowd. Plus the last two Wilco festival sets I've paid to see were significantly shortened by weather. Instead I'm using the money to see various club shows in and around town (like Kamasi Washington tonight).
