Can’t beleve it’s been 15 years already

Love Elliott. I was 16 when he passed, just getting into "alternative music". He hadn't released anything in a few years so the day he died was the first day I heard of him but I remember downloading Either/Or that night.

All his albums are great but XO is one of my all time favourites.

I'm a big fan.  Hard to believe it's been 15 years. "From A Basement On the Hill" is my favorite ES album.

When I was 20 I went on a canoeing trip with a buddy my age and  his older brother and cousin who were probably 8 years older than us. In the car on that trip I heard Elliot Smith XO and a song called "Airline to Heaven" by another band. Up to that day I was pretty convinced there hadn't been a good, new album come out since around 1996 as I was a grunge kid and had not been exposed to music like this. Literally a life changing car ride.
