Wilco — 10 August 2021, Morrison, CO (Red Rocks Amphitheatre)

Recommended Posts

Setlist(s) taken from watching the live stream. I know there were likely a bunch of people who at least occasionally frequent these parts who were there in person, so hopefully a few of them will eventually chime in.

For record-keeping purposes, here were the complete setlists for Wilco and Sleater-Kinney, as played:

*With the exception of switching the order of a couple songs, Sleater-Kinney’s setlist was nearly identical to the tour opener in Spokane — and presumably the shows in Montana and Utah that I wasn't at.

I watched the live stream of this show as well.  It was well worth $20.  And at this point in my life, I am no longer willing to pay beaucoups of bucks in advance for any outdoor show (Queens, NY, in my case), because I can no longer physically withstand heat or rain.

My takeaway from last night’s Red Rocks show is that Nels Cline is one amazing musician and I’m not sure what Wilco would be without him.

they sounded incredible. love the set they're sticking to for the most part, what it's lacking in rarities, it's making up for in great songs played with aplomb.

The 1-2 punch of "Shot in the Arm" and "Random Name Generator" really give the shows a different vibe than opening with "Bright Leaves" and "Before Us"! Both ways are good, but this approach feels fresh right now IMO.
