bböp
A personal dream bill of mine — albeit in not exactly a personal dream venue, but you can't have it all — with Kathleen Edwards and Bahamas preceding Wilco in the familiar and giant shed-like confines of the Budweiser Stage. So I had to make it if at all possible, and thanks to the usual flight delays and Covid confusion...well, I barely did by the early 6 p.m. start of Edwards' set. Again, just posting the setlist for now as travel insanity prevents more commentary for the moment...will hopefully circle back. Here was the complete setlist, as played (didn't get a look at a printed list, so can't say if there were any changes/omissions): Handshake Drugs I Am My Mother Cruel Country I Am Trying To Break Your Heart Hints War On War If I Ever Was A Child Via Chicago> Many Worlds (coda only) At Least That's What You Said Story To Tell Hummingbird Bird Without A Tail/Base Of My Skull Heart's Hard To Find Jesus, etc. Impossible Germany Love Is Everywhere (Beware) California Stars A Lifetime To Find Box Full Of Letters Spiders (Kidsmoke) --------------------------------------------- Falling Apart (Right Now) Red-Eyed And Blue> I Got You (At The End Of The Century) 4
TCP
The iconic Canadian venue.... the Budweiser Stage. I believe this Budweiser Stage is the same venue they did a similar double bill with Lord Huron a few years ago. If Wilco ever circles back to Toronto in the next few years and plays the newly renovated Massey Hall, I'll definitely try to make the trip.
Albert Tatlock
Thought it might be worth posting what has been seen elsewhere. To the tune from the Casey Jones show ( for a reminder: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hps6L5vS0sc ) Setlist Guy Stop, look, listen ’cos you’re gonna hear A brand new story ’bout a gig pioneer, He’s the greatest of them all we claim Number one’s his thread post, Setlist Guy’s his name. Setlist Guy a scribbling and a noting, Setlist Guy you never have to guess When you read the rhythm of his meter It’s Bbop at the keyboard with emotion to express! There’ll be Albert Tatlock and old A-man too, Kidsmoke, Lotti and the rest of the crew. Reading an update that’s a lot of fun When Bbop takes his notepad for another run! Setlist Guy a scribbling and a noting, Setlist Guy you never have to guess Though his naming scheme's a bit pedantic It’s Bbop at the keyboard recalling banter at its best! 1
King oscar
Dear Chief Scribe: Baseball writers often travel with the major league team they are covering. Wilco certainly is the major leagues. Therefore, they should find a seat for you on the team bus! 1
sinko25
not to be a setlist guy, but the return of Spiders makes me very hopeful for NH. just one of those songs I always want to hear that I've missed sorely at the last 4 or 5 shows I've seen. I think the last time I saw it was Solid Sound in '17.
