Happy for you too!

Was in Japan in March for 3rd time. We were happy to see cherry blossom season for the first time in Kinosaki Onsen.

I'm glad you were able to see the cherry blossoms. Kinosaki Onsen is a very nice place. Why don't you come to Wilco's Japan tour?

It's a long long way for a couple of shows. I am not Bbop :lol We would go again sometime. If it coincided that would be great, but then we tend to stay outside Tokyo/Osaka. Don't like big cities and the Japanese countryside is so wonderful.  We have stayed in Tokyo for a few days to see the sights but last time did not stop there at all. Closest I have stayed to Osaka is Nara, though I was passing though Osaka in March and a couple of hours in the main railway station complex felt like hell on earth. Just like BladeRunner. It was probably an extra shock as we had just flown back to the mainland after being in Ishigaki/Miyakojima.

I really understand that the big city is crazy and hard. I live in Osaka now, but I'm from a prefecture called Kagawa in Shikoku island. Udon noodles and 88 temples are famous. Please come to Shikoku next time. It's rich in nature. I'll introduce you again at that time.

Kagawa in Shikoku island.

Been to Kotohira and Ritsurin garden but that is all on Shikoku. Yes the temples/trails there are famous and would love to do them. We have only done a couple of day walks in places like Mount Haguro, Koyasan and Yama-dera. We were going to walk that trail at Tsumago in March but the weather was too wet/cold for it to be enjoyable so we carried on the Hirayu Onsen - nice to be warm in the middle of the snow!

Wow! I’m so glad you went there. You are travel specialist😉You may be traveling in Japan more than me.

Thank you. From Lake Akan to Ibusuki (plus the two sets of islands I mentioned last time). Overall just about our favourite country!

I shall look for Tatlock and Jim O'Rourke to be living side by side in the remote Japanese countryside in, say, three years time...:ninja

OK, they have to do loose fur 3 if they're in Japan right? Is O'Rourke still there? Maybe it's not totally dependant on Wilco touring Japan, but it can't hurt.

I think someone asked if it was still happening on a reddit AMA like last year and Jeff responded with something like "sloooooow". I really hope they don't give up on it.

Ha! That sounds like a plan. I know a nice place in Shirakawa-go. I too can play weird guitar (I.e. not play at all) and am pretty sure I’d make a good fist of ruining any record you point me at, so we’re bound to get on.
