SarahC
I know this forum doesn't get the same frequency of traffic as the Facebook group, but I thought I'd star a conversation over here anyway. What's the GA protocol for shows these days? The last time I saw Wilco in a GA setting was in Atlanta in 2016 at the Tabernacle. I don't remember how long we waited before doors. 4 or 5 hours maybe? Y'all think that's overkill for these bigger amphitheater style venues for the Southern spring run? 3 of the 6 shows we're going to are GA (luckily not one after the other!) so I'm trying to start planning our itinerary. How bananas does it get to be on the rail? My anxious brain keeps worrying about this stuff and it's still a little over 3 months away.
kidsmoke
I say, if you can afford to show up 4 or 5 hours early, bring a chair and do it! Then you have time to relax, chill out, and line chat. Some of my best friendships began with a chat in line.

We’re taking the whole day off for show days (some are weekend, thank goodness). I wish you could come to some of these shows!! It’s been too long!
kidsmoke
Oh I do too! I've never been to Chattanooga and that needs to be fixed in the future.
Chez
My experience has been that people don't show up as early and wait for the doors to open as much as they used to. I think in the last five years, there's not been a single show when I 've been there an hour before doors that I didn't get a spot on the rail - even for Wilco. Kids these days!
