Car's Can't Escape would have fit perfectly on YHF. Nothing Up My Sleeve is a great song, but I don't think it would have fit.

Methinks he is a certified "guitar slut."

Saw JT in Tulsa last week and noticed quite a few "new" vintage guitars on this tour; looked like a vintage 12 fret Martin 0-18 or 0018, and a 30's Gibson L-00. Anyone have any good photographs? Anyone seen him play the L-00? He didn't use it in Tulsa.

A friend of mine started out for Tulsa from Arkansas on 412 and had to turn around because the roads are still extremely icy. Are the roads still that treacherous in eastern Oklahoma?

If you're into vintage stuff, I think Retrofret is somewhere in NYC. Retrofret.com Lance

Anyone have an mp3 they can share? I'd like to get an idea of what they sound like... Thanks

Yep. It's a Gibson FJN (Folk Singer Jumbo). Crazy guitars - 2" nut, classical bracing, big 'ol pickguards. Not exactly tone machines... Lance

At least Keef and Jay understand what melody is...

Butterfly is in G (no capo). Basic chords being G, C, Em, with a D thrown in the second line. It makes the walk down from G to Em after the last chorus much easier... EADGBE I had (G) nothing to say © on Christmas (G) day When you (Em) threw all your (D) clothes in the © snow (G) When you burnt your hair, © knocked over (G) chairs I just (Em) tried to stay © out of your (G) way But when you fell asleep © with blood on your (G) teeth I got (Em) in my © car and drove a (G) way Listen to me, Butter © fly There's only so much (G) wine You can (Em) drink in one © life And it will

Thanks Froggie! I don't post much over there; too much vitriol!

Im a Wheel ... Thanks Froggie.

Anyone have an mp3 of JT's rendition of the "Banks of the Royal Canal?" Froggie had it up on the Dylanpool, but the link has expired. Thanks, LAnce

I play it like Kaysettes describes; capo 2 - D-G-A, D-Em-G-A. But, I also throw in a D7 with the D every once and awhile. Lance

I upgrade today and as a result I couldn't play anything on my PC. I re-loaded v.6 and all is well. Reading the Apple forum it looks like v.7 has some major bugs... Lance

Here are some of my guitars, first shot is of a '56 J-45, second is of a '50 Southern Jumbo, and then my Martin - Lance

I always imagined it to be someone putting their foot through the bass drum.

Actually, Santa Cruz' 000 is a long scale, 12 fret slot head. It has a longer body than an OM which has 14 frets and a long scale as well. Lance

Any guitar players at the show? What key did JT do "The Losing End" in?

Jay Farrar came in at # 98. Quite the meltdown going on over at jayfarrar.net. Ipecac!

I wonder if the strat isn't one of Nels' guitars? From the looks of Nels' jazzmaster he seems to have that body chemistry that eats away nitro finishes.

I've seen the pre-war shaded top Martin 000-18, what would the other pre-war Martin be? That other 000-18 I've seen him photographed with? By the way, Jeff, if you're reading this I have a minty standard bridge 1956 J-45 I'm looking to sell. PM me! Lance

I think the Gibson hollowbody JT uses for "Walken" is the Barney Kessel model. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. LJ
