It's a horrible vicious circle. Ballplayers see owners raking in dough, so they demand and get exorbitant salaries. Owners need to entice high-priced free agents, so they raise concession and ticket prices. Players see owners making still more money, and so on. You can actually rip them from the burned CD using iTunes (rather than another program) -- just be sure to set the import type to "MP3" rather than "AAC" in the Preferences.
