  1. I am just remembering that Erin parallel parked for the first time on Saturday night at Edies.

:D :lol it's true guys!!! jeff and sue both congratulated me. in the infamous bathroom line. hahah. thanks for remembering kat! huge night.

  2. hey, i see edie offering to hang out anytime anyone's in chicago, but don't forget to call me and morgan up if any one of these festivities happen!! we'd love to see anyone we met at the show (or didn't!) it was so awesome meeting everyone, i wish we could have all spent more time together!

  3. :yes Yes, please. I know some of you, and can almost make out the names on the name tags for a few others, but I'd love to know who everyone else is.

Looks like you all had an amazing time. I love hearing all the stories!

hahah i'll edit mine and put tags IDing people...just a disclaimer, sorry if i spell a name wrong or something, feel free to correct me!!! i'll do this tonight or tomorrow, i'm taking some final exams today, so i'm a little busy. but i do get distracted very very easily.......

okay, well...though i have to leave in 15 minutes for my german final, i managed to label all the pictures with VCers in it (i hope i got em all...maybe i didn't) from the party @ kate and grahams and the living room show. i didn't bother to label the ones of jeff, i hope you guys don't get TOO mad at me. enjoy...http://photobucket.com/albums/y3/AttackWithLove/

  4. Edie, thanks for hosting and being so generous about sharing your place (I can't remember, but I did give you those tickets for the Abbey, right? I was freaking out thinking I may have lost them). Leigh, thanks for organizing. Everyone else, I had a wonderful time. Sorry for the banter and boring story about the chick in Kalamazoo that told me to shut up. It's been something I wanted to get off my chest for a year.

    See you soon!

    Chris

hahah i loved that story!!!! i'm not the type of person that would have stood up for myself, i prolly would have just sat around the rest of the show not singing along and having fun, but if jeff just all of a sudden was liek "i love when you guys sing along!!!" it would just make my night hahaha.

  5. his real name's jared? :huh

i gotta start remembering that...and get out of the habit of just calling him 'san fran' (though he seemed to like that name :lol)

though he hates the town hahah, hopefully he'll be coming out to chicago after the cali shows and a few lucinda williams shows which will be good for him (he's not too happy out in sanfran)

  6. Oh that's right. I was there Friday - I think it was. I always forget. Jeff came up the alley and stopped to talk to me.

yeah i remember seeing you one of the days, but i don't remember which one. and i also rememebr that story, sounds like it rocked

  7. just how big would a stand need to be to support Mike? :P

one with at least a 5 inch radius and i'm assuming a few feet taller. i guess it all depends on how it will support him. if it's like a platform at the top where he stands, then ya know, as long has he can balance it doesn't matter how tall it is. but if he's like suspended by it, well i just don't know...

  8. Edit -- Oh I am quite sure that the language was MUCH stronger than that!!! He still owes me, the rat-bastard.

And I loooove the pics. I didn't take even one picture, I am so bad at it.

hahah i know it was, but i'm not willing to recreate it on such a public website. i'm not old enough to swear!

i'll have my pics up sometime in the wee hours of the morning! (aka 2am-ish)...check back then!!

  9. :monkey Sue and I both discovered that we are members of the Bruce Finkleman anti-fan club. One of the highlights of my evening!!!

i was telling jen about this today and couldn't remember the guy's name...that was one of the highlight conversations of the night, hearing you two sweet sweet ladies get so riled up about him definately showed what a jerkwad he was. the best was "aren't you the woman who said something bad about bruce finkleman once?" and ya know, i can just see most people there saying "oh no sue, that wasn't me, that must have been someone else" but you were liek "yeah that was me!!! that douchebag copped me out of $300!!!" and you guys just going at it about him. it was great.

  10. Your face is adorable in it, Erin. I just modified it so click away :dancing

man, i've had 3 different computer backgrounds today! it's like a record! that's a hilarious pic, i didn't know he was making that face, i love it!

i just showed my parents, they think it's great!

  11. okey dokey, let's see if this works...

I really apologize for posting the Jeff In Line for the Loo photo but he was such a good sport about it that I'm hoping he doesn't mind. And, no, Erin and Chris didn't give him cutzies, turnzies.

i think you forgot the link hahah, but i can't wait to get that pic, i've got a few people who really wanna see it hahaha

  12. Does anyone remember which song this personality-filled picture came from? Or is he just happy to see the buffet or something? :)

he said something about how jim o'rourke ruins records and was like "no no just kidding, i love jim. but sue...she doesn't like him too much" and jeff was liek "aww i'm sorry honey, i probably shouldn't have said that" and i forget what song he sang, but he sang two lines from one of his songs in his high falsetto-y voice, it was really funny.

  13. hmm weird...how many won't load? it took awhile when i first clicked one to get into the slideshow mode...but if you give it 30 sec or so it should pop up. anyone else having trouble?

i'm seeing them fine! i had no idea there were that many good ones! it kinda sucked because we didn't wanna disturb him with the flashes (especially up front) but they looked so darn good with the flash!!! (all those clear ones are flash).

  14. To someone distant from it all, it was nice to see that your group was open in its preparations for bidding and arrangements. And now you are sharing the event too. It is to your great credit. Thankyou!

That second picture posted above is just brilliant.

Also, I'd like to see Edie's dining table if those are all the chairs from it Must be like the court of King Arthur in there :lol

yeah it was definately really cool that everythign was so open, it made for a fun, unpredictable group!! it was so much fun just walking in and being able to hug and introduce yourself to anybody in the room, the community that forms at each show is always one of the best things to watch.

and morgan, i agree with andrewdowdall, i never saw that second picture! it's great! hopeuflly i'll have time to get my pics on photobucket or osmething today and post them, they'll be up inthe next few days for sure though.
