The mini documentary is fucking awesome. JT playing 'PBPWM' is one of the most beautiful acoustic performances I've ever seen. Nels on Impossible Germany totally tears it up and I really think they look/sound like the complete article that I was hoping for... I'm sure it'll surface someplace pretty soon, but If you can get hold of one of the Deluxe packages, you won't be disappointed. The cinematography is really emotive too, lots of roving camera shots reminiscent of IATTBYH and Jeff talking about Belleville etc... I'm particularly looking forward to some of the guitar transcriptions that wil

I seriously doubt that... but it's not my favourite version either. Alex

just a freiendly albeit desperate bump!

Please identify the song, thereby sparing me from madness. 'the more i think about it, the more i know it's true' thanks in advance, Alex

Yeah, me too! I've been playing this song endlessly since the transciption chisoxjtrain, thanks. Oh, and I think he says 'dreaming' instead of training... Alex

Just out of interest... Does anybody know what brand of capo Jeff uses on his acoustics? (primarily his Santa Cruz) Alex Ps. It will obviously make me play like him...

If push came to shove I'd have to say 'Venus' and on a slightly related note who else loves 'Farewell My Darling' which was on one of Nikki Sudden's records with Jeff singing vocals? It would be so cool for Jeff to cover at one of his solo shows for the now sadly departed NS, his voice was so suited to that song. It's gonna' be in my head all day long now... Alex

i can't get 'Everybody's gotta' Live' out of my head... Wow, I remember catching them in Crewe in 2002 (I think) and my friend couldn't make it to the show (he was a huge fan) I was pretty pissed but made my way to the front and rang my friend up. Arthur spoke to him on the phone for a few minutes MID-SET! He handed me back the handset and said "Man... you got a cool cat right there"... I shook his hand and the show went on after some applause. My friend said it was the biggest honour of his life. I'll be raising a glass to the great man tonight - Forever Changes as my soundtrack. What a

Thanks so much for your help on that, been scratching my head for a couple of days now... alex

Does anybody know what two chords Jeff slides between for the intro G-A repetition in Hotel Arizona (solo acoustic)? I've been messing round with open C/open G, but keep coming back to standard tuning... I think he probably plays the song without a copo, but I'd really appreciate somebody who's seen him play this live on his own to confirm this. Essentially, the chords on gumpopages look right to me, but the intro? Here's hoping, Alex

I'm sorry to bump this, but I've now included an mp3... I was fooling round the other night with Jeff's solo version of The Long Cut. I used the Living Room Gig version (April 8). I'm virtually certain he tunes down to open G just prior to the start. I've figured some of the chords out, but I'd appreciate somebody (who knows a few more shapes in open G) having a quick look at it and letting me know what they think? It's a beautiful version of the song... I much prefer it to the original. Incidentally, the chords on gumbopages are just Em/D/G/C so I guess that the open chords would trans

No probs, download the YSI file if you want it completely accurate, the formatting is still off! or email me if it expires. alex.demidh@glassroomdesign.com Thanks Groo, Alex

Thanks Groo, still looks fucked up to me, (albeit a LOT better than it did!) Here's the YSI link, maybe you could upload it for me? Thanks,. Alex http://www.yousendit.com/transfer.php?acti...85480632D680BE6

I had an hour last night and worked it out, it's from one of his live performances - capo 3, definitely the most accurate version I've seen - BUT help me figure the formatting out, it looks totally screwy when I post it, I have it as a .txt file? Any suggestions? Alex

Hi, it's really easy although I don't have my guitar to hand it's something like standard tuning, G with a rundown to Em then D to C with a rundown to Am then back to D all equal measures. hope this helps or somebody can elaborate, I'm useless at putting stuff down in writing. Alex
