  1. miss you, my friend. happy birthday.
  2. You realize that makes no sense whatsoever, right?
  3. number 1: "literally" if you haven't looked this word up in the dictionary, don't use it. also, "I could care less." If you COULD care less, then you--by definition--care somewhat. If you really are beyond caring, then you "couldn't care less".
  4. wow what a potentially great thread turned into a giant turd prize goes to the next poster who actually has a point having something to do with a "classic" album that he/she has never quite been able to warm to the rest of you can PM me for a foot up your ass edit: that last comment was primarily meant for one feminine hygiene product roaming these parts
  5. I agree we don't need a 15th pet sounds thread, but I was surprised to see your post matt, cause I think we tend to have fairly similar tastes. (although one of these days you're going to have to school me on costello...) I remember putting pet sounds on repeat in the car for like a week, thinking it MUST sink in at some point, but it just made me more perplexed. I think "god only knows" (along with "don't worry baby" while we're on the beach boys--possibly top 5 most perfect pop songs ever) is pure genius. The rest of the record does nothing for me. For songs about teen love, I'll tak
  6. pet sounds a few GREAT tunes, but the rest...

  11. especially as "expecially" "eckcetera" instead of et cetera oh, and in Texas at least, "que?" instead of "what?"
  12. I'd have to start with "jewelry" and "nuclear"
  13. I still owe you a christmas present (how ironical on the day he died--well, yesterday at least, I'm not really sure what he was doing for 3 days) whatcha want?
  14. for the sake of full disclosure I never even considered watching Lost until kimcatch convinced me otherwise somewhere (I think) during the third season. teh wife and I were caught up in weeks. this isn't the kind of show I EVER thought I could get wrapped-up in, but I'd move mountains if they were between me and wednesday night. if Locke ever dies (for good), maybe I'll change my tune. But until then, this is as good as network TV has ever been. Absolute Greatness
  15. I have tried to defer to Deadwood (which is modern day shakespeare, and anyone who says different never read shakespeare), and the first 3 seasons of West Wing, to Hill Street Blues, to N.Y.P.D. Blue to Northern Exposure (my former favorite show ever) to the Wire (I haven't been able to invest time in this show, but I trust my friends on the board re the quality of this show), but nothing compares to the intricacy and mesmerizing writing of Lost. Period. I've never been more captivated by characters and story line in my life. show me a more consistently better show, that has had as long a
