I say see Derek now as much as you can. His talent is on a level with SRV, Clapton, or any other blues rock guitarist held up as the peak of the genre.

Clapton at his best couldn't hold a candle to Trucks. I've never understood the recognition he gets as a player.

I really don't know that anyone can put a lot of credibility on Jodi at this point.  Her abuse allegations are irrelevant to the Halbach trial and if she had inculpatory evidence or information about Avery relating to Halbach, you can damn sure bet that the prosecution would have used it and called her as a witness.

Interesting how the settlement of Avery's $36M lawsuit seems to have had a chilling affect on their romantic relationship.

I enjoyed what I saw of the SOTU (didn't get to finish it this morning) but I'm a sap and always tend to get sucked in by those addresses.  I very much liked the not-so-veiled shots at Trump and Cruz. 

I recall Stevie being pissed off at Bowie for appearing to play SRV's guitar part in the Let's Dance video, and refusing to tour based on that. But that's my 42 year old brain trying to recall something my 11 year old brain took in.

I have the same issue with Mrs. Sharp's rack.

I agree with that, and think they will. Maybe it is just wishful thinking on my part, but I tend to think that this first extension was a bit of an homage and a set up of the new characters, so that he can really make some leaps forward in the installments that follow.

for those who were not moved by this movie or were put off because it shadowed some plot points from A New Hope, I am curious if you watched the original A New Hope as a kid or at a later time?
