I've noticed over the past few weeks as schedules have been released that there will be a rather large amount of great shows going on thanksgiving weekend, and seeing as I am planning on going to both Auditorium Shows, I was wondering if any Tapers were planning on going to any of the other shows. Or, if anyone knows of places that Bird, Keys and MMJ shows are posted regularly. We should diversify our efforts so that we can all enjoy the tidal wave of good music that will be making its way through the windy city.

Right on. It makes me pretty angry to hear about what Pat Robertson and company are saying about most current events. And with films like "Jesus Camp" coming out, I find it harder to explain the Christianity that I experience, as opposed to the people in "Jesus Camp"

yeah, whats the deal?

I haven't seen a disdain for Christianity in a lot of his lyrics. I actually see a lot of Christian thought in some of them. Lines like "Theologians, dont know nothin about my soul" Never rung cynical to me. The way I interpreted it was that he saw theologians as people who always talk about religion, but when it comes down to individuals souls, they "don't know nothin". I thought he was talking about a God that did know individuals souls. A disdain for theologians, is not the same as a disdain for God. In Theologians, he talks about the "illiterate light" which he has defined as

I was visiting my friend in california at Biola University, and we were walking across a parking lot and heard music blaring out of a building. It was the Cold War Kids practicing for one of their shows the next night. My friend and I got to hang out with them for a while and listen to a private show. They are cool.

Is there any word on when the full show is going to be let out, because I am leaving for the summer in a few weeks, and would like this show to keep me company.

Jeff's hair is awesome. I am still wishing that they announce a show in Chicago. . . Or hoping that I get Conan tickets for the night they are playing, all I know is that its has been too long without seeing them play live.

This sounds like it was amazing. Here goes futility: Was this show recorded? I saw that Jeff was plugged in, and I got hopeful. Then I figured that the recordings will most likely only be distributed to the people that were in attendance. I just felt like I should ask . . . just in case.
