So, as I've said before, I study audio production at school. I've been thinking about going to Seattle, but that I've never been to the states, that'd be a big treck, especially since I have to be up at 5:45 the next morning for school. I had the feeling that when Wilco announced a Vancouver show it'd be on a night I have class, but I got lucky, thank God.

Looks like I am finally going to see Wilco live! I am incredibly excited. How do these things usually work? I haven't seen many concerts since moving to Vancouver. Should I buy my tickets on the presale or should I buy them regularly? Is presale info given out over the mailing list?? Is the Orpheum any good? Is it usually general admission?? Should I buy online? Do Wilco concerts sell out super fast? So many questions...

Maybe lyrically but if you listen to the atmosphere (or vibe, feeling, whatever you want to call it) of the song, they're pretty sad songs.

I like Halloween Head, I think the rhythm guitars sound fucking massive and ballsy. The melody is catchy. The lyrics aren't anything off Blonde on Blonde but they're not bad, which is alright cause the song isn't really about the lyrics. And Ryan's vocal performance is really good. Especially when he yells out "what the fucks with me God??" near the end.

Depends on the incarnation. I think this version of Wilco does a lot of AGIB songs better live then the old version of Wilco did on the record. Spiders and The Late Greats are prime examples.

How bout that homeless guy on Granville Street who told me his guitar case was the most expensive guitar case in the entire city? Surely that's more of a Wonder then a canoe. EDIT: Or Luongo. EDIT 2: Actually, how about all the red pine trees, that the federal government doesn't seem to care about, in the interior of BC (and Alberta now). Surely an entire province with red trees is a Wonder.

On third listen there's parts of this record I don't like (as with every Stripes album) but the majority of it is really good. I never got why everyone hated Get Behind Me Satan, it's still probably my favorite by them.

A Martyr For My Love For You is my favorite upon first listen.
