I remember this when it came out. Hopefully someone will crack the code soon, and hopefully it will reveal a really good wing sauce recipe.

Happy Birthday!

Questions such as....
Intense is the word my roommate and I agreed would forever be used to describe that concert. It fits.
I've been to many intense shows, just none that were intense for people on the lawn and not intense for the people inside. Too much Miracle Gro making people trip?
-
While I wished they included more full band shots, I really liked a lot of the close up shots that they did. They were atypical and it gave the film an unique point of view. Of course, that is also a negative because in a concert film you should be focusing on the band and not "feeling" the director in the shot.
I thought the best shot track was IATTBYH, which didn't make the DVD. The full band pans with the lights and fog was great. Reminded me of the soundstage songs from The Last Waltz.

So in 2006 I found a strange record by this weird old guy Bob Dylan called Modern Times, I thought it was fantastic and the rhymes were slick.
Now the old guy is back again with another classic but this is more about the music not the rhymes, thers more blues and less "porck chops" or "pies".
beyond Here lies Nothing is an absolute stunner, and aproaches morality in a way a 20 yeard old couldnt understand and I understand and Im 20.
Now how good of a record is this really, well time will tell. Is this only for Bob Dylan fans? YESSS!! s what dose that mean? it means if you are intrested it goes way deep.
I was hoping for some more of the hard line morals of Modern Times and there are some here, but this is more of a summer record its not the depression and swne flu means shit so enjoy the sounds of Houstan and the mexican war... but pay close attention because the secrets are more .. I read the pitchfork review and they refrence nashville skyline and I thought holy shit thats what I thought too, then I thoough what dose the number 5.4 have to do with music? but yea dosent life is hard remind you of I threw it all away? no?
Musically his best record of the decade the completion of the triligy but... he better not die he better make one more we need a proper good bye.. and its all good aint it.
Aint Talkin could have been but this ends on an upper... alright now listen to it for fucks sakes its 2009 and Bob Dylan is writing songs.
Also try this excersice instantly name all the BoB dYlan records that TTL is better than and then think how much you like those records two.

hey everybody,
my friend is driving cross-country, moving from DC to Seattle. I want to make her a city-themed mix. Ideas?
personally i would just want to listen to Bob Dylan the whole time.

It was intense for everyone on the lawn.
You're gonna stop the story there? I have a million questions after a statement like that.
-
The only clunkers on the album are "(Was I) In Your Dreams" and "Why Would You Wanna Live".
Two of my faves on the record. Say You Miss Me is the only song I could do without and I would also take off The Lonely 1 as long as I still got to hear it at solo shows.

Happy Birthday, LouieB.

I noticed their is a reference to the estate of Willie Dixon in the thank you department.
Translation: "Please don't sue me."

This is pretty amusing given the back and forth here. NPR's Soundcheck did a debate of classic Dylan vs. new Dylan:

Thanks for this.
I've listened to the album once through so far. I'm not blown away, but it's a very entertaining listen. I'll definitely keep going back to this.

I downloaded the DC show Monday. My hard drive died this morning.

Huh, I'll be damned...that worked.
Thanks. I'm not sure where I missed this part of the instructions, but thanks for getting me on track.
You didn't miss the instructions. This is the new page that they say they are working on. It looks done enough to me.

What's wrong with playing a winery?

Can we close this thread and try again?

I'm still getting the "sorry for the inconvenience" screen when trying to get the bonus tracks. I was able to download the DC show, but not the 20 songs from the dvd since it won't let me register. Is this just me? I've been trying since Sunday morning with no luck.
If you're trying to get the DVD tracks, I would try disregarding the physical DVD and just try to make an account at wilcoworld.net. That's what I did and I have since downloaded the tracks twice (home and work) and neither time did I have my DVD in the computer.
Here is the link: http://smartley3.wilcoworld.net/roadcase/members/
Note: This may be a beta page since I haven't seen a link to this page anywhere. So remove the link if it's not ok.

I hate to be pushy but I would also love a reupping of these tracks....
It's not gonna be happening from me anytime soon. Computer is in a serious funk (Checkdisk 2 days and counting?) But people have downloaded it before. If someone else could do it, that would be great!
-
So today is the last day the 9:30 Club full show DL is available right? Or because they are updating the roadcase, they will have it up until further notice? I already put it on disc, but I'd like to re-download with another copy on my desktop that has all my itunes library.
I believe the DC download is done (it was for people who bought it before today). The roadcase affected the DVD audio tracks. This morning I went on, the roadcase sign on was updated, and I downloaded the DVD audio tracks.

He's also more popular with the general public than Republicans in PA, so this helps him and the Dems. Lastest poll shows him 20% behind his challenger in Republican primary. Also helps Dems get closer to 60. What ever happened to Franken?

I liked Beyond the Horizon on his last one. You're right though, his last great ballad's were back on Oh Mercy.
Time Out of Mind had some ballads that I would consider among his best.
Swine flu
in Tongue-Tied Lightning
