  1. For anyone wondering this is still going on and being compiled and I am pulling off the stuff from my collection that I need for it. I also need to contact a couple of people about picking some shows up, but I am still thinking I can get this done by November. It's looking like the weekend I have off for fall break in October when I was planning to put this together is going to be pretty much booked, so it's going to probably be until the middle of November before it's finished and hopefully it will be up on the tracker after/if I get the sound mastered.

you could call it "prenatal ghosts" or "ghosts of the womb" or something....

  2. If by doing France(class) homework you mean trying to seduce ladies (which I'm just going to assume you do), then I would suggest at least starting with the pants on. After "practicing" some French, most of a mid-priced bottle of Pinot-Noir, and 2/3rds of a Sigur Ros album if your pants just so happen to come off, then you're probably in business. Just sayin.

Damnit! I hadn't told anyone of my latest method....how did you find out?

Well, you know what they say, if it's working for you, stick with it.

  3. We were with the really tall guy, I was standing directly to his right. One of my friends who was standing a little more towards the Nels-side of the stage took that video.

long hair, camera around the neck?

not to be creepy or anything

haha, i was on the glenn side.

    how close to the stage?

  4. Impossible Germany, unlikely Japan

Wherever you go, wherever you land

I'll say what this means to me

    Impossible Germany, Unlikely Japan

    The fundamental problem

    All I need to say

    This is important

    but I know

you're not listening, oh I know

    you're not listening

This is still new to me

    It's not what I planned

    Impossible Germany, Unlikely Japan

This is what love is for

    to be out of place

gorgeous at long and face to face

    we'll know about your problems

    they need to be erased

    nothing more important

    but you know

    someone's listening, oh I know

    you'll be listening

  5. Did you figure that other thing out? By the way, there is some dude who put up several Dylan V0 requests there the other day - it has been my experience that those go over well once they are ripped and put up.

Is this for me? If so, no I haven't asked Jorge yet...

and as far as the Dylan requests....if only I had some Dylan to rip and put up :hmm

  6. I would say that this was one of the best shows I've seen to date. I know both players are very skilled technically, but I was more impressed with the sounds that were coming from their instruments. Very unconventional on both ends(I own Mobile, so I knew that would happen with Glenn). Nels' pedal work and looping techniques were amazing. Together they played a Sonic Youth cover and an original that Nels will be recording with his group, the Nels Cline singers. I got a chance to briefly talk with Glenn afterwards and that was cool. He mentioned recording sessions for the new album(springtime release?) so I asked about what might be on it and long story short, he said he would be surprised if Impossible Germany didn't make it on to the new album and that all the other new songs they've been playing live(save one) have been recorded. Exciting stuff. I got to talk to him about transcriptions of his music and it's looking more and more like performing one of his pieces on an upcoming recital is a possibility!

  7. i'll be in a gray fleece, and i'm asian. should be easy enough to locate me.

I left before I could check this again. I was in a maroon sweater....it was an amazing show, though. Hopefully everyone else that was there enjoyed it too.
