  1. Once I was at my friend's house for dinner. During clean up time I took a pint of Ben & Jerry's from the freezer. The pint was hard as a rock, so I flipped open the microwave door and before I knew it, my friend's wife put down the plate she was cleaning and sailed across the kitchen, bodychecking me and yelling "NO!" She landed harder than she meant to, and I went down hard, landing in the cat's food and water trays. She was very apologetic, but made it clear that there was no way the ice cream was going in the microwave, even for a second.

This playing out in my head is pretty damn funny.

Painting's up next....Won't be sleeping through that one.

Molly has sort of become the mother of the other two. Jazz has a hard time playing with others and Rascal, well, he's sort of the "c" student of the group. Even though they're only a few minutes away at my parents house, I still miss them.

  3. I'm applying at Sam Ash Music and Game Stop today. I need a job. This whole poor college student thing isn't cutting it.

poor college student>working at sam ash

employees at the sam ash near me=d-bags w/out brains

have you ever ordered two drinks at a drive-thru window to give the impression you were ordering food for two?

read this outloud to a friend in the computer lab here at school and another girl burst out laughing and replied "yes!"

Once, in an extremely inebriated state I ordered better than 50$ worth of food at the local Burger King for my friends and I. I then commenced to put sugar on the 7 orders of French Fries (in my state I couldn't discern sugar from the little salt packets), upon tasting said fries; this pissed me off to no end resulting in my ejecting the entire tray of food against the wall and my subsequent ejection from the restaurant.

Still hungry and with my wallet quite a bit lighter my drunken troop and I staggered over to the local Hardee's Family Restaurant, a place where I had part time employment. Knowing the people that worked there, I figured I had an

  4. This one is a bunch of song identification (aka, know the name, composer, place, date, genre, as well as having to describe its characteristics...and one of the pieces we haven't even listened to and just have to describe a piece that it's like), and then there's some terminology stuff. But that's about it. The prof says she changes up the format on each exam but that the listening part remains pretty much the same. I prefer my composition classes a lot more...but it all comes with being a music major :lol

yeah, that sounds about like all of my music history tests last year. Sometimes the listening tests were seperate from the terms/short answer tests, but yeah. I didn't do so well in those classes. I don't think my brain has the sort of patience required by subjects like music and art history....each test back was a reminder of how much I didn't learn/didn't pay attention. So yeah, good luck with that, hopefully you'll at least do better than my c's and d's..... :hmm

PS if your composition classes yeild anything significant at the end of the semester or year, you should post (or at least PM) a YSI of the MP3 file that finale/sibelius can create? I'd be interested....

  5. Not much, sitting around listening to Philip Glass having a beer. I'm totally burned out on the whole studying medieval music thing right now, but I'm thinking I'll do decently on the test tomorrow, so that's good.

What are your music history tests like?

  6. As I was driving home from the gym just now and observed a dude being put through the sobriety test routine on the side of the road, it occurred to me that it truly would be "irony writ large" if I got killed by a drunk driver coming back from an activity that's supposed to extend my life.

    24-hour gym? Interesting....

I decided it was time to try something new. So I went with the faux hawk. interesting choice.

How is this a faux hawk? I thought those were only achieved by geling and moussing smae-length hair into a point. To me, this looks like a legit mohawk. Either way, it looks pretty sweet.
